QP Curio's Novelty Engine

QP Curio's Novelty Engine (codenamed Clockwork) is a currently in development game at the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab that makes use of a physics engine and genetic algorithms to allow a player to evolve interesting animated creatures. Here are a few screenshots of a build from around May 2010. More information to follow as the game nears release.

Here is the title screen of the game.

Here is the main screen of the game. Notice the creature on the floor as well as the various buttons that can be used to control its evolution. The numbers to the left of the screen represent the generations the creature has gone through to reach this state.

This is the "Mutation" screen. Here the player can choose between several different mutations of the same creature for use in the next generation. The numbers on the left now correspond to the different choices the player can make.

Here is the notebook that is used to guide the player through the game. The notebook also provides minor goals for the player.
